I never imagined I’d be able to work with Chance. King Promise by The Rapper
King Promise is surprised to have collaborated with Chance The Rapper, an American rapper.
Two weeks ago, the ‘Oh Yeah’ singer was photographed in the studio with the ‘No Problem’ rapper. King Promise saw this as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so he did everything he could to make it happen.
In Accra, the musicians got together. During an interview with Berla Mundi, he explained how it happened, saying, “When Chance came, I got the phone call that we should meet.” I was out of town, but I quickly connected when I returned.”
Chance The rapper was in the studio with his American colleague Vic Mensa, who was also exploring Accra. “Chance was introduced to me by Vic. We wrote a song that night, but we’re still working on a lot,” he remarked.
“I’m not going to lie to you. I never imagined I’d be able to work with him. I’m a big admirer of his and enjoy his music, but I had no idea we’d be able to meet up one day. We came up with some crazy ideas. In the TV3 interview, he added, “There are so many wonderful chances coming down the pipeline.”
It’s unknown when any of the tracks that both musicians recorded will be released. Take a look at their studio session in the video below.
