Empress Gifty, a rambunctious gospel singer, is the latest celebrity to criticize Nigerian musicians for neglecting to support their Ghanaian peers.
Nigerian gospel performers, she claims, do not support or promote Ghanaian gospel music in their home country.

Empress Gifty, as she is affectionately known, decried the fact that whereas Nigerian gospel performers are pampered in Ghana, Ghanaian gospel musicians are not.
Her thoughts are similar to those expressed by Shatta Wale, who stated that most renowned Nigerian gospel musicians do not post fliers for events they are scheduled to perform until they get in Ghana.
