Mr. Sammy, a movie producer, has revealed a new viewpoint on Wendy Shay’s “Heat” song, which has dominated the airwaves since its release in September.
According to Samuel Owusu Asare, commonly known as Sammy Rasta, a film director and entertainment analyst for Power Entertainment, the song is a political satire aimed at President Nana Akufo Addo and Vice President Mahamadu Bawumia over the problems Ghanaians have been facing.
In an interview with XYZ radio, he explained that the song is about how Ghanaians hoped for Akufo Addo to succeed Mahama as president, but that things have turned sour even during his reign.
He went on to say that she later requested that Ghanaians bring back former President John Mahama, pointing to a scene in which two children were dressed in the colors of the two major political parties, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) (NPP).
Bullet and the video director, in his opinion, hid behind those words and scenes in order to send a message to Ghanaians.
