Ghanaians, she claims, interpret it as someone who is well-known.

Her post is in response to Ghanaian Commissioner of Police Kofi Boakye’s recent description of “celebrity.”
COP Kofi Boakye voiced concern about requests made by some celebrities at (IGP), George Akuffo Dampare, at a meeting between the Ghana police and creative individuals held last week.
The outspoken senior police officer stated that there is a need to define what a celebrity is and who is deserving of the designation.
“What is the definition of a celebrity? What does the term “celebrity” mean in a practical sense? I believe we should obtain that because I am perplexed. We’re perplexed. Is it true that if you feature in one film or sing one song, you are considered a celebrity? And, as you can see, we’re perplexed and have no idea what you want “he stated
The majority of Ghanaians have supported his definition, while Wendy Shay and Guru appear to be against it.
