The Women’s Africa Cup of Nations 2026 brings together 16 of the continent’s best football teams in Morocco, competing for glory as well as places at next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. Discover the results and full table standings here.
The Women’s Africa Cup of Nations 2026 (WAFCON) takes place in Morocco from 26 July to 16 August.
The 2026 edition will feature 16 teams for the first time, expanded from 12, and will take place across five venues in Rabat (three) and Casablanca (two).
The 16 teams are divided into four groups of four teams each. The four semi-finalists will secure automatic qualification for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027, making every knockout-stage match crucial in the quest to reach the world’s biggest stage.
The four losing quarter-finalists will play an additional round to determine Africa’s two representatives for the intercontinental play-off for another chance to qualify for the World Cup.
