Nigerian actor Blasts Shatta Wale Over Insulting Comments - Yul Edochie
Shatta Wale must apologize to Nigerian musicians, according to Nigerian actor Yul Edochie.
The dancehall artist’s statements, he claims, are equal to “hatred” and “too low for a man like you.”
Shatta Wale interrupted during his much-hyped Freedom Concert at the Accra Sports Stadium to take a shot at his detractors.
He also expressed his displeasure with Nigerian musicians, accusing them of failing to support their Ghanaian peers.
Shatta Wale solidified his standing on Twitter with a series of tweets criticizing Nigerian musicians.
Yul Edochie reacted by slamming Shatta Wale for his remarks and advising him to apologize.
“I remember when Nigerian movie producers gave all the key roles to Ghanaian actors a few years ago, no Nigerian ever said ‘F**k Ghanaian actors,'” he wrote on Instagram.
“I have a lot of Ghanaian admirers who write me goodwill messages and invite me to Ghana on a regular basis, and I thank them all.”
“Your music is one of my favorites. In my car, I always have your song with Beyonce on repeat. Whatever it is that irritates you, a man with a massive fan base like you should use it to promote peace and togetherness among Africans and the rest of the world. You should apologize for making such a remark.”
Meanwhile, following Shatta Wale’s remark on Nigerian musicians, Nigerian singer Vic O has challenged him to a music fight.
