IT IS DIFFICULT TO BREAK-THROUGH IF YOU'RE NOT A TWI SPEAKING ARTISTE - CHARLORSON ALLEGES
According to CHARLORSON, in giving platform to artistes, many major media outlets and personalities in Ghana prioritizes Twi- Speaking artistes over other language – speaking artistes. He said, this is making it difficult for artistes who do music in other languages in Ghana to break- through to the lime light. He added that, artistes doing music in other dialects are equally doing good music and need to be given equal attention and the platforms when the need be.
He cited an instance that, though his song “Yesuolor” is big and widely known in the country, some industry players and media personalities refused to allow him on some bigger platforms just because he is a Dangme. He condemned that act and said it wont bring unity in the industry. He mentioned this in an interview with DR EYE, host of an entertainment show on Okorli 96.1fm on 30th March, 2024.
Charlorson was born Isaac Lartey Aryin to a Prampram father by a Ga mother. He spent much of his formative years in Akyem Anyinam, living with his grandmother.
He is a Telecommunications Network engineer by profession and was part of the team that established Globalcom in Nigeria, spending over 6 years in Nigeria.
He was urshered into the music industry in 2013 with his hit song, “Yesuolor”. Though he has no album yet, he has many other single songs such as “Menkoa”, “That Thing”, “Mamle”, “No Gidigidi”, “Baajo”, “Ring” and others.
