A roaring fire has broken out at Madina Ritz Junction in Accra, devouring many wooden houses and necessitating an immediate response from the Ghana National Fire Service.
On Tuesday, July 15, the GNFS reported via its official Facebook page that three fire engines from the Madina, Legon, and Abelemkpe fire stations had been dispatched to the location to combat the fires.
“Rigorous firefighting operations are currently underway,” the statement read, as officials on the ground worked feverishly to bring the blaze under control.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, and there are no immediate reports of casualties.
The fire, which involves closely packed wooden houses, carries a significant risk of rapid spread, necessitating an immediate reaction.
