Wendy tests her critics on which Bible verse prohibits dancing.
Wendy Shay, one of Ghana’s most popular female musicians, has been chastised by some members of the public for a bikini video she posted to promote her new track, despite her prior declaration that she is a born again Christian.
Wendy does not practice what she teaches, according to her detractors. This comes months after she told her followers that as a result of her journey with Christ Jesus, she would no longer display her body or have several piercings.
She stated in an interview with Okay FM in May of this year that as part of her rebranding, she will now seem “a little covered up” to appeal to the elderly.
“I am still young and vibrant; you will see some sexiness, but this is how I want to carry myself; a little covered up since Wendy Shay’s brand is rising, and I need to appeal to the elderly and cooperative institutions,” Wendy explained.
Wendy, on the other hand, stated that despite being a born again Christian, there will be some “sexiness.”
As tensions rise over the RuffTown Records signee’s abrupt reversal, she has retaliated against her detractors, claiming that they want to appear “holier than thou.”
The ‘Astalavista’ singer has challenged her critics to show her the part of the Bible that prohibits a born again Christian from dancing.
“What does dancing to my song have to do with my rebirth?” Can those who claim to be “holier than thou” explain me where in the Bible it says you can’t dance? “Abeg, allow me to Break My Waist Ghana, wake up,” she tweeted.
