Police in Ghana apprehend a suspect for brandishing a weapon and making threats on social media.
After witnessing a viral video of the suspect loading a pump-action rifle with ammunition and making threatening comments, the Police Intelligence Directorate detained Nii Ponponsuo yesterday, Monday, November 22, 2021.
Following a study of the video, the police performed a special operation that resulted in the suspect’s capture from his hiding place. One 12 bore SB pump-action gun was discovered during the search. He is currently cooperating with the police investigation and will appear in court tomorrow, November 24, 2021.
The Police Administration would like to remind the general public, particularly those with a tendency for displaying weapons and uttering threats, to refrain from such illegal behavior. Anyone who is apprehended will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
