Abrantie Amakye Dede, a legendary highlife musician, claimed that social media has helped contemporary musicians earn more money.

In an interview with Kessben TV, he claimed that the young musicians who have taken over the creative sector are making more money thanks to social media and internet platforms.
He admitted on Kessben TV that “you can see that the fresh crop of musicians are making a lot of money these days even if they might not have even done a lot of songs in the music scene.”

The little that they have been able to accomplish in the showbiz industry in a short period of time and they wind up collecting millions of dollars all because of social media and streams, he continued.
The iconic musician, who has released over twenty (20) albums, continued by stating that there were no social media platforms to advertise songs back then. Furthermore, the ancient musicians would have made a ton of money if they had access to social media.

However, social media didn’t exist in our time. He asserted, “If we had access to these internet and social media platforms back then, we would have accomplished much more in the music scene.”
