After dropping the song "Allahu Akbar," Brother Sammy claims that Christians are sometimes hypocrites.
Brother Sammy, a Ghanaian gospel artist, has sparked debate after releasing a song in which he praises Allah.
In the music video for his new song, ‘Allahu Akbar,’ the musician known as ‘The Nation Worshiper’ surprised everyone by portraying himself as a Muslim.
The song, which was published on April 7, 2022, sparked a debate on social media, with some questioning the purpose of a Gospel artist singing “Allahu Akbar.” Some have called it ridicule, but Brother Sammy has refuted these charges.
When he granted an interview to Joy News’ Doreen Avio, the matters arising from the song were addressed. During their conversation, he jabbed Christians for sometimes being hypocrites, especially those who have called him out for his song.
It is a unity song… Christians are sometimes hypocrites. Unity is what we need in Ghana. It doesn’t mean I am a gospel artist, so a Muslim is my enemy. It is their time, they are in Ramadan, so I have to do something, “he said.
He continued, “I stand for all Christians. I want to show that we love them (Muslims). We are one and the same person…Muslims pass through Mohammed to go to God, and Christians pass through Jesus to God. We are all going to God. “
In response to the controversy surrounding his costume, he stated: “I wasn’t having a good time, and the outfit I was wearing wasn’t a joke; I was serious. ‘Allahu Akbar’ is a wonderful music video that is doing well. We must all support it because they are our brothers and we are all worshiping the same God.” Take a look at the music video below.
